Day One The party returns Scarlett to her family who cry with joy at seeing their daughter unharmed. They give what reward they can: 6000 gp.   The party agree that they should return to Copry to discover what more can be known about the goods they plundered from the bandits. On their way to the Academy, however, the party is accosted by a mob who back Targo and seek his reward. With a bit of persuasion, the mob realize’s the error of it’s perspective. Once the facts are known, the crowd dispurses. All but five. 4 ruffians still seek the reward, regardless of the truth, and Targo steps out of the shadows with a vengeful smile on his lips.  The thugs prove to be very little threat and are dispatched with quickly. Targo sees the route of his champions, and after making a couple of valiant swings, he turns to run, in fear for his life.  A Den of Thieves Day One When the the party enters into the village, the Lord and Lady Thomas greet them, but soon begin their terrible lament: “The bandits have been making small raids and stealing what they could. Then they came to “offer protection from thieves,” but they were the same people stealing from us! They extorted everything from us that we could afford. But just two days ago, the bandits took our daughter Scarlett.” They show the party a portrait of her.  “The expectation is there will be a ransom request forth coming.” The Lord can tell you that while the family is rather wealthy, most of their worth is in land and the bounty it can provide. And the bandits have certainly taken their toll. There are 20 families in town and they are all afraid of what can happen to them. The Sheriff, who should provide help, is under the leadership of Lady Stoatris and has done nothing to help, despite their pleas. All of the villagers know the bandits come from the north, but n...

Return the Talisman to Aether’s Shrine Day One  On the way back to Copry, the party walks a path that meets with a confluence of streams. Ickie recognizes a symbol for one of the Old Gods, Aether. It’s a stone marker, covered in lichen and hard to make out the finer features, but it clearly displays the Watchful Eye of Aether.    Lothriel and Diggles recognize the symbol as one of the relics from Charlatan’s chamber. Lothriel has it and holds it up for comparison. In preparation for some possibility, she uses her forging kit to take a rubbing of the marker.  The party follows a faint path which carries them over a stream and up into the hills.  As the terrain gets steeper, they find themselves walking through the Dark Wood with increasing patches of rock outcroppings. They take a quick pause and Diggles and Lothriel climb to the top and look around. A Giant Spider wanders nearby. If the spider notices the party, it doesn’t care. The gnome and elf rejoin ...
